I'm a dividend growth investor who seeks out companies with a long history of increases in revenue, earnings and dividends. I then enhance those dividends and increase my income through the use of a proactive option strategy. My goal is to create a stream of passive income that will provide me with a life of financial stability and security.
I'm also an avid amateur photographer. I have been taking photographs most of my life. My primary camera is the Nikon D7100 with an 18-135 mm lens attached, but I'm also known to use other lenses as well as the camera on my iPhone 5.
I created this website to put all my strategies for stock market investing and financial independence, my better photographic images, and my random thoughts and ideas in one centralized location. By putting this all in one place, hopefully I will eventually become a better investor, a better photographer and a better thinker.
Only time will tell.
Respectfully, Dennis McCain
More than a half century ago I was born to two wonderful and loving parents who lived during the depression and survived a world war to find each other and have me. The simple fact that they were able to find each other during the war is something I will be thankful for, for the rest of my entire life.
Now having been raised on the frozen tundra of the northern plains, I realized at a very early age that my future was going to be in the southern part of this country. And with parents that early on encouraged me to go to college I headed off to a place named Western Illinois University as soon as I graduated from High School. It was a great University and it made me an educated man, but I came out of college during a recession and my only skill was the ability to take tests.
After a year or so of crummy jobs and low wages, I headed off to Graduate School at North Carolina State University. It was there in Raleigh, NC, that I received my Master’s Degree in Social Psychology and met some stock market investors who survived the 1929 Crash. It was these guys that introduced me to investing.
I have since gone on and had a nice life living in Texas and working for the Military in the Defense Industry. I have also continued my hobbies of photography and investing with great passion but with limited success. Now as I approach my retirement years hopefully I’ll be able to spend more time improving my skills in both photography and investing.
