I made the quick trip down to Inks Lake today because mine and my son's Texas State Parks Passes had expired. It dawned on me that my park pass was expired when I got my renewal for my subscription to Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine. Inks Lake is beautiful and is the most popular state park in Texas in the Spring, Autumn and Winter and the second most popular Texas State Park in the summer (behind Garner State Park). I don't get out to the Texas State Parks nearly often enough but they're wonderful places to hike and take photographs. Now that the weather is starting to cool off a little, perhaps I can find the time to visit more parks. I'd love to be able to visit every park in Texas someday. Seems like a great goal for retirement.
I am an amateur photographer and I love taking photos of the Texas outdoors. In order to do that I've got to put on some hiking boots and get out into the Texas country side. I hope my stories and photographs will help you understand what a wonderful and beautiful place Texas really is.
NOTICE I am very proud of the photos I take and I have posted them here on this site for your enjoyment only. You may copy these for personal use as long as they are not altered. All other uses are not authorized unless explicitly granted by me in writing.
