Today I'll be looking at five of the personal products companies listed in the S&P500 index. I know there are many more companies producing toiletries and personal care products similar to the companies below, but I couldn't look at all of them in one article. It would be way too long.

These are quite popular companies for investors and there are plenty of financial websites with extensive articles about these five companies noting all the positive and negative aspects of the companies. Every investor should read as many of those articles as possible before investing his own hard earned money. I plan to read as many as I can, but first I wanted to look at the numbers for each of these companies in a format in which I can easily compare and contrast. It is only after doing this that I can best utilize my research time on the best candidates for consideration.

Below you will see information on Proctor and Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, Kimberly-Clark, Estee Lauder, and Avon. Each of these deserve further research and analysis before investing. The information below, as well as the links to additional information, the company's websites, and price charts are a good starting point for further study. I'm pretty sure there's at least one great investment included here.
