I just love walking around my neighborhood in the evenings. The weather is mild and the views are spectacular. That's because I live in the part of Texas affectionally known as the Hill Country. In this part of Texas a Cowboy can see for miles and miles. And no matter which direction you look, you'll see views just like the one in the photo above. It truly is a beautiful place to spend some time.
This is the Heart of Texas. This is the Big Sky country. This is the Texas Hill Country.
The city has an abundance of beautiful facilities and one of my favorites is the city park. It has a couple of small lakes, baseball and soccer fields, RV facilities, and great walking paths. I love to spend time there feeding and photographing the many ducks.
With thunderstorms rolling through Central Texas tonight I was lucky enough to snap this photo of lightening striking across the valley. Rain is not something we get very often, even rarer in June/July, and we almost never get lightening. So I was very lucky and very grateful to have gotten this shot.
Here's a few photographs I took from the staging area for today's Veteran's Day Parade in Copperas Cove, Texas. I wasn't able to get any photos of the parade because I was in the parade driving the truck for Blue Santa. In fact Santa rode shotgun with me in my truck!
This is Christina. This is also CMR Foto. I've been on photo shoots with Christina and she is an absolute genius with a camera. If you live, work or are just going to be in the Central Texas area any time soon and have a special occasion coming up or just want some portraits made, contact her. You can see her work displayed on the Facebook page "CMR Foto"and you can contact her at 908-839-6287. You will be glad you did!
I am an amateur photographer and I have been actively taking photographs most of my life. My primary camera is the Nikon D7100 with an 18-135 mm lens attached, but I'm also known to use other lenses as well as the camera on my iPhone 5.
